Privacy Policy
How Anythings handles your data — in plain English.
Last updated August 20, 2026
1. What we collect
- • Account info: your email, and the name and context you choose to share.
- • Your content: the captures, tasks, and priorities you create.
- • Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting information about how the app is used so we can keep it working and improve it.
- • Billing: if you upgrade, payment is handled by Stripe — we never see or store your full card details.
2. How we use it
To run the core product: turn your input into a prioritized list, learn what matters to you, sync across your devices, and provide support. We use your content to operate the Service for you — not to build advertising profiles.
3. AI processing
When you capture something, its text, images, and documents are sent to Anthropic (Claude) to extract and rank your tasks. If you submit a voice memo or audio file, it’s sent to OpenAI’s transcription API to turn it into text. These are our AI subprocessors; your content is processed only to generate your result, and we don’t use it to train third-party models.
4. Where it lives
Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase) and protected by row-level security so only you can access your account’s data. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it.
5. Sharing
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that make Anythings work, and only the data each one needs:
- • Supabase — hosts the database and file storage holding your account and content.
- • Anthropic (Claude) — receives capture text, images and documents, along with your priorities, open task titles, timezone and any profile context you have set, to extract and rank tasks.
- • OpenAI — receives audio you submit, to transcribe it.
- • Stripe — receives your email and account identifier for payments on the web and desktop apps.
- • RevenueCat, together with Apple and Google — receive your account identifier and purchase state for in-app purchases made on iPhone or Android.
- • Resend — sends our email (sign-in and account mail, and any message you send us), and receives mail you forward to your Anythings capture address.
- • Expo, and through it Apple and Google push services — receive your device token and the text of a notification, which can include a task title.
We also share data when required by law.
5a. Cookies
Essential: we store your sign-in session on your device so you stay logged in. This is strictly necessary and doesn’t require consent.
Optional analytics: with your permission, we use Google Analytics (the _ga cookies) to understand how the site is used. It never loads unless you allow it in the cookie notice, and you can change your choice any time via “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
Our own page-view counter is cookieless and stores no personal identifiers.
6. Your choices
You can edit your profile and permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your captures, tasks, priorities and uploaded files from our systems. See Retention below for the small record we keep afterwards.
7. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we delete your content immediately, and backups age out on a rolling basis.
Two things outlive the account on purpose. We keep a deletion record - your email address, the date, and basic account totals — so we can honour the deletion and answer questions about it later. We also keep any support correspondence you sent us. If you bought through Apple or Google, their record of the purchase is theirs and is governed by their terms.
8. Children
Anythings isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We’ll post any updates to this policy here with a new date and flag material changes.
